MOSCOW. April 23 (Interfax-AVN) -Five aviation bombs of WWII times were found on the outskirts of the town of Reutov in the Moscow region on Tuesday, a spokesman for the ministry told Interfax-Military News Agency.
Sappers of the Lider center of high-risk rescue operations that reports to the Emergencies Ministry found the bombs weighing 50 kg each while checking a section of the bridge construction site on the 16th km of the Nizhny Novgorod highway in the Moscow region. The area had been checked once before.
Emergencies Ministry sappers found 15 more aviation bombs weighing 50kg each on the same spot on Monday. The explosive devices were exposed in the ground delivered from a pit. They were removed to the 179th rescue center, but 70 people had to be evacuated from three neighboring houses for the period of removal.
Engineering work is underway on the scene. All found bombs will be destroyed at a proving range of the Moscow military district.
