GROZNY. April 26 (Interfax-AVN) - A serious clash has taken place in the Kurchaloi district of Chechnya.
During a search operation between the villages of Bachi-Yurt and Mairtup, military personnel came upon a group of rebels, a source in law enforcement agencies told Interfax-Military News Agency on Friday. The rebels opened fire and the federal servicemen returned fire. There have been no casualties among the federal servicemen.
Three to five rebels are believed to have been killed at the scene of the incident. A team of investigators is working at the scene.
