MOSCOW. May 13 (Interfax-AVN) - Preparations of the agreement on securing air space of the Union state are to be discussed by representatives of the Russian and Belarussian defense ministries in Minsk, deputy commander of the Russian Air Force Lieutenant General Yury Bondarev told Interfax-Military News Agency on Monday.
Bondarev said that the participants in the meeting would also discuss problems related to development of the Unified Regional Air Defense System of Russia and Belarus.
A Russian military delegation led by Air Force Commander Vladimir Mikhailov will visit Minsk from Thursday to Saturday to negotiate on the matter.
The general said that the participants in the negotiations would adjust the command and control structure of the unified system, as well as consider some other issues concerning improving security of air borders of CIS nations.
Representatives of the Russian military are to meet senior officers of the Belarussian Air Force and Air Defense Command.
