MOSCOW. May 15 (Interfax-AVN) - An artillery shell exploded at an artillery depot of the Siberian military district not far from the Gusinoye Ozero village on Tuesday, the Defense Ministry press service told Interfax-Military News Agency.
The shell exploded as a result of careless handling, the press service said. The blast injured two servicemen; one of them died on the spot and the other was delivered to hospital in grave condition.
Investigation into the accident is underway.
