MOSCOW. May 27 (Interfax-AVN) - Servicemen of the Russian Space Troops have mounted the Kosmos-3 light carrier rocket on the launcher at the Plesetsk cosmodrome at 1:00 p.m. Moscow time (0900 GMT) on Monday, the press-service of the Space Troops told Interfax- Military News Agency.
The carrier is to orbit a military craft of the Kosmos series; it is to be launched at 10:15 p.m. (1815 GMT) on Tuesday.
On Monday morning the Kosmos-3M carrier rocket was transported from the assembly and test shop to the 132nd launch pad where it was fitted on a launcher. Pre-launch preparations of the rocket carrier and the craft have already begun; the experts are to check the operability of the inboard systems and that of the launcher.
Work on preparing the Kosmos-3M carrier rocket and the craft is being carried on according to the schedule.
