Chechen policemen to undergo training in Krasnodar territory

GROZNY. June 6 (Interfax-AVN) - Eighty-nine Chechen policemen will take a training course in the temporary affiliate of the training center of the Krasnodar territory main police department located in the northeastern Chechen village of Shelkovskaya, the department's deputy chief Major General Nikolai Boiko told Interfax- Military News Agency on Thursday.

The affiliate is training personnel for permanent police departments in districts and villages of Chechnya. The policemen study basics of legislation, criminalistics and psychology, take range practice, special and medical training, and learn to operate special equipment.

The training course takes two months. Policemen from the Krasnodar territory are to provide methodical and material aid to their Chechen colleagues.

The affiliate is led by Lieutenant Colonel Yamuddin Makhmudov.
