Wide-scale training with over 7,000 reservists underway in Trans- Baikal

CHITA, Southern Siberia. July 1 (Interfax-AVN) - A wide- scale training with the involvement of over 7,000 reservists is taking place at the base of a motorized rifle division in the Trans-Baikal, the Siberian military district's press service chief Colonel Valery Shcheblanin told Interfax-Military News Agency on Monday.

"Such wide-scale training of reservists happens on the territory for the first time in past 15 years," Shcheblanin said. In the course of the training the reservists will practice single exercises, hold range practice and driving and then carry out missions on control over the division's units.

"The training process is established carefully; over 1,000 multiseat tents and 26 comprehensive meal stations are deployed for the servicemen in field conditions. A 9km-long plumbing is sanitated for the field camp while electricity is provided in the area as well," Shcheblanin stressed.

The training will end on July 12.
