MOSCOW. July 3 (Interfax-AVN) - The 245th Training Center of the airborne peacekeeping troops deployed in the city of Ryazan was disbanded on Monday under the corresponding directive of Armed Forces Chief-of-Staff Anatoly Kvashnin, a competent source at the Airborne Staff told Interfax-Military News Agency.
"The entire personnel and assets of the center were handed over to the commander of the 106th airborne division headquartered in the city of Tula," the source saud.
The 245th Training Center was set up on the basis of the 137th paratrooper regiment organic to the 106th airborne division. It annually trained more than 1,000 servicemen of the Airborne Troops that were to be deployed in the Balkans.
