KHANKALA. July 4 (Interfax-AVN) - Rebels of Chechen field commander Saluyev have received a huge batch of foodstuffs from officials of the Danish Refugee Council, a spokesman for the Federal Security Service department for Chechnya told Interfax- Military News Agency on Thursday.
"The foodstuffs as well as uniform and essentials were handed over to extremists in the Aslanbek-Sheripovo and Nikhaloi villages of Chechnya's Shatoi district several days ago," the spokesman said.
According to him, the cargo was delivered to rebels by officials of the council's Ingush affiliate. Federal servicemen earlier exposed a cache in the Kurchaloi district that contained foodstuffs supplied to the separatists by the same international organization.
The spokesman added that guerrilla leaders had established "an entire infrastructure for rest, treatment and supplies of extremists arriving from Chechnya" in eastern areas of the Ingush autonomous republic.
