KALININGRAD. July 30 (Interfax-AVN) - The coastal stage of a training voyage at the Baltic Fleet will start on Wednesday, an official of the fleet's press service told Interfax-Military News Agency.
"From July 31 to August 11, the fleet is to fill materiel stocks, check the vessels' readiness to putting out to sea and practice interaction," the official said.
According to him, the naval stage of the fleet's training voyage will take place from August 12 to 21 under the supervision of Baltic Fleet Commander Admiral Vladimir Valuyev.
Combat training operations in the sea will involve raid and basic minesweepers, small anti-submarine and missile ships, missile boats, guard ships, landing craft, destroyers and auxiliary ships, the official stressed. A total of about 40 ships will put out to sea for the voyage.
The event will feature a tactical exercise in dropping a landing party and competitions in various aspects of training for prizes of the Navy commander, the official added.
