TBILISI. July 31 (Interfax-AVN) - Georgian President Eduard Shevardnadze is indignant over the air bombardment of the country's areas bordering on Russia.
The appropriate agencies have already made proper statements, he told the press in Tbilisi on Wednesday.
"The only possible excuse is a pilot's error, because the bombardment occurred seven kilometers from the border at nighttime," Shevardnadze said.
Aircraft arriving from Russia attacked Georgian areas on Monday and Tuesday, the Georgian Foreign Ministry said on Tuesday.
Russian defense officials have said that the Russian Air Force did not make any incursions into Georgia.
