GROZNY. Aug 7 (Interfax-AVN) - Two guerillas were destroyed in the Ilyinskaya village of the Grozny rural district, a spokesman for the regional operational headquarters on Chechnya campaign told Interfax-Military News Agency on Wednesday.
"Beslan Telkhigov and Ali Bakuyev were eliminated when attempting to put up armed resistance. A notebook with a record saying 'stockkeeper Levan Telidze, Khankala,' was found in Telkhigov private things," the spokesman said.
He stressed that competent sources obtained information that guerillas hiding in Chechnya from law-enforcement agencies intend to pay Telidze back for his cooperation in the elimination of a rebel group that penetrated from Georgia to Chechnya.
"It is not ruled out that both Telkhigov and Bakuyev were ordered to find and kill Telidze," the spokesman added.
