GROZNY. Aug 8 (Interfax-AVN) - Four special operations took place in the Chechnya's Nozhai-Yurt, Vedeno and Gudermes districts on Wednesday, a spokesman for the regional operational headquarters in charge of the Chechnya campaign told Interfax-Military News Agency.
"As a result three armed guerrillas were destroyed and nine suspected rebels detained," the spokesman said.
According to him, an extremist stationing point was found in a forest near the Dyshne-Vedeno village, which is in the vicinity of the Cherepakha mountain. Three Kalashnikov assault rifles and over 1,000 5.45mm cartridges were seized from the stationing point.
