Intensity of aircraft application declines in Chechnya - Air Force official

KUBINKA, Moscow Region. Aug 8 (Interfax-AVN) - The intensity of aircraft application in Chechnya has declined considerably, First Deputy Air Force Commander Lieutenant General Anatoly Nogovitsyn told Interfax-Military News Agency here on Thursday.

"There are no large guerrilla groups in Chechnya anymore. The intensity of the active phase of the anti-terrorist operation is gone as well. Now we mostly accomplish combat missions at requests and conduct reconnaissance," Nogovitsyn said.

Asked whether the tactics of aircraft application will chance in autumn and winder, the general said, "We have gained enough experience in using aircraft in various weather conditions in autumn and winter." "I do not see any problems related to the change of seasons," he stressed.
