Rebels involved in terrorist act killed in Chechnya

KHANKALA. Aug 12 (Interfax-AVN) - Members of a rebel group that staged a major act of terrorism in the village of Shatoi have been destroyed in Urus-Martan district.

"Three rebels, Alkhazur Magomadov, Supyan Chabayev and Umar Ozdamirov, were destroyed overnight to August 10 on the outskirts of the Komsomolskoye village. It was found out that all of them had been organizers of the act of terrorism on Shatoi in which 10 servicemen of a Chechen rifle company were killed," a spokesman for the unified federal command told Interfax-Military News Agency on Monday.

Federals took from the site a PK machine-gun, two AKM assault rifles, some 500 cartridges, 2kg of plastic explosives, a scheme on planting and switching on an explosive device as well as 3,500 fake dollars.

As a result of a terrorist act that took place in the Shatoi village on August 6 10 servicemen of a company from the commandant's office were killed and eight injured.
