MOSCOW. Aug 13 (Interfax-AVN) - An air show timed to the 90th anniversary of the Russian Air Force will take place at the Chkalovsky airfield in the Moscow region on August 18, chief of the Air Force press service Colonel Alexander Drobyshevsky said on Tuesday.
"The show will begin at 10:00 a.m. Moscow time (0600 GMT). It will open with the ground demonstration of aircraft and air defense systems in the Air Force inventory. Air Force and Air Defense museums will provide their exhibits to the show. A concert will be arranged for the guests," Drobyshevsky told Interfax-Military News Agency.
The demonstration of aircraft in the air will last for two hours 11 minutes, he said.
"The guests of the show will be able to see aircraft in the Air Force inventory flying over the Moscow region. The country's best aerobatics teams, Russkiye Vityazi, Strizhi and Rus, will perform demonstration flights," Drobyshevsky noted.
A similar show timed to the 90th anniversary of the Air Force will take place in Khabarovsk on Saturday. Pilots of the air force and air defense army stationed in the Far East will demonstrate their skills there, the press service chief added.
