MOSCOW. Aug 15 (Interfax-AVN) - A written-off and demilitarized BM-13 combat vehicle will be handed over to the Moscow region for immortalizing the memory of Hero of Russia Flyorov, the first commander of the guard mortar battery that distinguished itself during World War II.
A resolution on the transfer has been signed by Prime Minister Mikhail Kasyanov.
The Defense and Property Ministries are instructed to transfer the vehicle in accordance with the standing order, the government information department reported on Thursday. The vehicle's demilitarization and transportation will be financed by the Moscow region, the report says.
