MOSCOW. Aug 16 (Interfax-AVN) - President Vladimir Putin visited the Sukhoi military aircraft corporation on Friday. He was shown around the workshops and conferred with the company's management.
At the entrance, Putin was greeted by the head of Russia's Aviation and Space Agency Yuri Koptev and Sukhoi's Director General Mikhail Pogosyan, who accompanied Putin during his brief excursion around the plant.
At the Sukhoi Design Bureau, Putin familiarized himself with a special simulator for piloting the SU-27 Flanker fighter, performing a number of flying routines, including take-off, landing, and aerobatics, an Interfax-Military News Agency correspondent reports.
