Dutch military transport plane makes emergency landing in Kazakhstan

ASTANA. Aug 21 (Interfax-Kazakhstan) - A Dutch military- transport plane made an emergency landing in Chimkent airport in Kazakhstan's Southern Kazakhstan region, Defense Minister Mukhtar Altynbayev said at a briefing in Astana on Wednesday.

He said that a plane of the anti-terrorist coalition had run out of fuel, as bad weather prevented it from landing at Kyrgyzstan's Manas airport, where the anti-terrorist forces are based.

The plane later took off from Chimkent when the weather had improved, and has landed in Manas, said Altynbayev.
