KamAZ exhibiting new vehicles, engines at Moscow's Motor Show

MOSCOW. Aug 21 (Interfax-AVN) - The Kama Automobile Plant (KamAZ) exhibits new vehicles and engines at the international Motor Show 2002 that opened in Moscow on Wednesday.

"The plant's section features the KamAZ-4315 medium-tonnage prime mover, KamAZ-5470 truck tractor, NefAZ-5299-01 suburban bus adapted for operation in northern regions, and KamAZ-6511 dumptruck, which is an all-wheel-drive prototype of the KamAZ-65115 dumptruck popular in Russia and abroad," a KamAZ spokesman told Interfax-Military News Agency.

KamAZ managers are hoping that experts and potential customers will take interest in the two new powerplants developing 320 and 260hp that are also exhibited at Motor Show 2002, the spokesman said.

"These engines of a new family meet requirements of Euro-2 international environmental standards," he stressed.

KamAZ managers consider Motor Show 2002 among the main commercial events of the year, the spokesman added.
