KHANKALA. Aug 22 (Interfax-AVN) - Federal aviation destroyed a summer rebel camp and two strongpoints in Chechnya on Wednesday, a source in the headquarters of the Combined Federal Force told Interfax-Military News Agency.
"SU-24 Fencer frontline bombers and SU-25 Frogfoot attack planes flew six combat sorties in the past 24 hours," the source said.
MI-24 Hind helicopters supported actions of ground troops in Chechnya, he went on. They escorted five military convoys and two trains and inflicted several strikes on minor rebel groups.
MI-8 Hip helicopters flew four surveillance missions to detect rebel concentration areas.
