MOSCOW. Aug 22 (Interfax-AVN) - The Almaz-Antei air defense consortium is about to complete the filling of office and management posts in its central administration.
"Five out of eight deputy directors general of the consortium have been appointed this week," a source competent in the defense industry told Interfax-Military News Agency on Thursday.
Igor Klimov has been appointed deputy director general in charge of orders and supplies. Prior to his current post, he worked with President Vladimir Putin's administration. Igor Ashurbeili, director general of the Almaz research and production association, has become deputy director general in charge of production and technological policy. Stanislav Puginsky, who earlier worked as deputy director general of the Antei consortium, has been appointed deputy director general in charge of legal matters and corporate policy. Alexander Zagorodnikh, former department head and executive secretary of the Almaz board of directors, has become deputy director general in charge of general issues, including HR policy.
Only Ashurbeili retained his previous post, the source stressed. Working in the new consortium, he will be responsible for industrial cooperation management as far as the state order, export contracts and restructuring are concerned.
The posts of deputy director general in charge of research and technical development, deputy director general in charge of economy and finances, and deputy director general in charge of controls and security are still vacant, the source said.
The average age of newly-appointed officials is about 40 years.
The Almaz-Antei consortium is being established in line with Putin's decree. The new entity is overseen by Yuri Svirin, 65, director general of the Antei consortium.
