MOSCOW. Aug 23 (Interfax-AVN) - The Russian troops group in the Trans-Dniester region will hold a command post exercise (CPX) in the vicinity of the Transdnestrian capital Tiraspol in early September, a spokesman for the Moscow military district headquarters said on Friday.
The planned CPX will be supervised by the group's commander Major General Boris Sergeyev, the spokesman told Interfax-Military News Agency.
"Participants in the four-day CPX will use maps and go out in the field to check combat and operational training of troops, practice control over units of the 8th separate motorized rifle brigade under command of Colonel Valery Berenev and their interaction with other units of the Russian troops group in an emergency period," the spokesman said.
The CPX will involve the 15th separate signal regiment and the group's aviation force, he added.
