GROZNY. Sept 2 (Interfax-AVN) - Field commander Doku Umarov is planning a series of terrorist acts in the Shatoi district of Chechnya, spokesman for the regional operational headquarters on the Chechnya campaign Colonel Ilya Shabalkin told Interfax- Military News Agency.
The attacks may be directed against the personnel of local administrations and police officers. The reconnaissance information says that events are primarily related with serious losses Umarov and his group suffered from near the Shalazhi village and the impossibility to operate on a huge territory in other districts of the breakaway republic, Shabalkin said.
Law-enforcement agencies take measures to disrupt the rebel plans.
