TBILISI. Sept 2 (Interfax-AVN) - A Georgian Defense Ministry delegation led by Deputy Defense Minister Gela Bezhuashvili is expected to pay an official visit to Bucharest on Tuesday to Saturday.
The sides will discuss the possibility of Romania joining the U.S. Train and Equip program that is currently underway in Georgia, the Georgian Defense Ministry's press service reported. As many as 2,000 Georgian servicemen are taking part in the program.
The press service said they may also discuss the possibility of supplying Romanian equipment to Georgia under this program.
The Georgian delegation will meet not only its Romanian colleagues but also representatives of the president, parliament and Foreign Ministry.
An agreement on military-medical cooperation is supposed to be signed by Georgian and Romanian Defense Ministries.
