CHITA, Southern Siberia. Sept 10 (Interfax-AVN) - The preparation for the all-Russian census that is to happen on October 9 to 16 is nearing completion in the Siberian military district, the district's political work department chief Major General Anatoly Borisenko told Interfax-Military News Agency on Tuesday.
"The all-Russian census is supposed to involve over 200,000 servicemen, their family members and civil Armed Forces personnel living in Siberia and Trans-Baikal," Borisenko said.
He stressed that all organization problems related with the census are solved.
The district will have four census areas, 59 registration districts and 781 copiers. The work on the preparation for the census being maintained by Lieutenant General Vladimir Bakin, the district's chief-of-staff and first deputy commander, is supposed to be completed by October 4, Borisenko added.
