MOSCOW. Sept 12 (Interfax-AVN) - Russian-U.S. consultations on strategic stability will be held in Moscow on Thursday afternoon, a source has told Interfax.
The interdepartmental delegations will be headed by Deputy Foreign Minister Georgy Mamedov and U.S. Undersecretary of State John Bolton.
Bolton, who arrived in Moscow in the morning of September 11, has not yet met with Mamedov, the source said.
Bolton plans to visit numerous Russian agencies, in particular the Security Council, the Defense Ministry, the Atomic Energy Ministry, Rosoboronexport state-owned arms trader and meet with Sergei Kiriyenko, head of the commission in charge of destroying chemical weapons. U.S. officials are also likely to meet with Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Alexei Kudrin.
Bolton, the chief U.S. negotiator on strategic stability, will be in Moscow until at least September 13, the source said.
