KHANKALA. Sept 13 (Interfax-AVN) - A search for a professional serviceman, who went missing with arms from a strongpoint located on the outskirts of the Borzoi village in the Shatoi district, started in Chechnya, a source in the unified federal headquarters told Interfax-Military News Agency on Friday.
"The absence of Private Andrei Voitelev at the strongpoint was detected by an officer who checked the accomplishment of missions by personnel," the source said.
Voitelev was serving as commander of a unit in the 291st motorized rifle regiment of the 42nd motorized rifle division permanently stationed in the breakaway republic.
"The search for the serviceman that involves search groups of the division and policemen happens in the Shatoi district while corresponding information was provided to law-enforcement agencies and military commandant's offices in other districts of Chechnya," the source added.
