MOSCOW. Sept 24 (Interfax-AVN) - Envoys and military coordinators of the six nations signatories to the Collective Security Treaty will meet in Moscow on Tuesday to consider issues related to the conduction of the CIS summit in Chisinau on October 7.
The meeting will be chaired by Secretary General of the Collective Security Council Valery Nikolayenko, chief of the council's secretariat Alexander Kuznetsov told Interfax-Military News Agency.
The meeting will focus "on the conduction of the CIS summit in Chisinau on Octover 7 that is expected to approve draft regulatory documents of the new regional organization, that is the Collective Security Treaty Organization, established at a session of the Collective Security Council in Moscow on May 14 this year; issues related to the organization's financial support will be considered as well," Kuznetsov said.
The envoys will also consider a series of other current issues pertaining to activity in the framework of the treaty. "Secretary General of the Collective Security Council Nikolayenko will brief participants in the meeting on his recent trip to Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan," Kuznetsov said.
The Collective Security Treaty of May 15, 1992 unites Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia and Tajikistan.
