Tests of MIG-AT trainer to be completed this year - Russian Air Force chief

MOSCOW. Oct 4 (Interfax-AVN) - Tests of the MIG-AT trainer will be completed before the end of the year, Russian Air Force Commander Vladimir Mikhailov told Interfax-Military News Agency on Friday.

"State tests of the MIG-AT aircraft at the state flight testing center in the Akhtubinsk aviation garrison are nearing completion," Mikhailov said.

According to him, the tests are a success and the trainer will be certified in the first half of December.

"Today we can surely say that the MIG-AT is a promising plane and in the future we plan to supply it to training units for training flight personnel," Mikhailov added.
