MOSCOW. Oct 7 (Interfax-AVN) - A Russian military delegation comprising 12 officials under the supervision of Lieutenant General Viktor Kochemasov, deputy head of the Joint-Arms Academy, arrived in Great Britain on Monday.
The main aim of the delegation's five-day visit is to share experience with British colleagues in training peacekeeping units for operations in conflict zones, a competent source in the Defense Ministry told Interfax-Military News Agency.
The delegation featuring generals and officers of the General Staff and Land Forces Staff will work in the British joint-arms center for conflict studies, studying methods of peacekeepers' training and views of the British military command on the nature and ways of accomplishing missions in conflict zones. The delegation will also visit several units of the British Armed Forces, the source said.
The visit will end on Friday, he added.
