Russian naval board to hold session in Kaliningrad October 21

KALININGRAD. Oct 8 (Interfax-AVN) - The Russian naval board will hold a session here on October 21 under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Mikhail Kasyanov, a spokesman for the Baltic Fleet headquarters told Interfax-Military News Agency on Tuesday.

The session will take place during Kasyanov's visit to the Kaliningrad region scheduled for October 21-22.

The board is to discuss plans of the Navy development in 2003 and consider celebration of the Baltic Fleet's 300th anniversary that is to take place on Navy Day next year.

Foreign diplomats, military orchestras and pop singers are to be invited to the festivities at the fleet's main base of Baltiysk, the spokesman said.
