TBILISI. Oct 21 (Interfax-AVN) - Commanders of border guard services of the GUUAM organization (Georgia, Ukraine, Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan, Moldova) will meet in Tbilisi in November.
"The meeting of GUUAM border guard chiefs was fixed for late September, but Kishinev and Baku requested a delay," a source at the Georgian State Border Guard Department told Interfax-Military News Agency on Monday.
The source said "for the GUUAM nations the problem of transportation corridors is key, which is a reason enough to emphasize border cooperation within the scope of the organization."
"In particular, the meeting will focus on securing pipelines and potential aspects of interaction during a would-be trouble at a GUUAM state," the source said.
