MOSCOW. Oct 21 (Interfax-AVN) - The Russian Interior Ministry is currently working on a draft decree on an Interior Ministry in Chechnya, which is due to be established by November 2002, Interior Minister Boris Gryzlov said in Moscow on Monday.
He spoke at a session of the Interior Ministry troops' chiefs.
"The Interior Ministry is drawing up a draft decree to create a Chechen Interior Ministry, which is to be put into effect in November," Gryzlov said.
He did not specify how many officers the ministry will employ or who will lead it.
Asked when the anti-guerilla operation will be completed in Chechnya, the minister said "the stage of the anti-terrorist operation in Chechnya should end with a referendum and adoption of the republic's constitution."
