Russia, Georgia, Azerbaijan to finalize details of border guard exercise this month

TBILISI. Oct 22 (Interfax-AVN) - An expert meeting will be held in the Georgian village of Kazbegi in late October to finalize details of the first Russian-Georgian-Azerbaijani border guard exercise, chief-of-staff of the Georgian State Border Guard Department Colonel Kornely Saliya said on Tuesday.

"The command post exercise is to take place before the end of the year," Saliya told Interfax-Military News Agency.

The border guards of the three countries have vast cooperation plans, including for the Dagestani section of the Russian-Georgian and Russian-Azerbaijani borders, he stressed.
