MOSCOW. Nov 5 (Interfax-AVN) - Chechnya's representative office in Tbilisi has been closed, Tedo Dzhaparidze, secretary of the Georgian National Security Council, said.
Dzhaparidze met with his Russian counterpart Vladimir Rushailo in the Kremlin on Tuesday.
"I have good news for you. The Chechen representation has been closed, it is not active any longer," he told journalists.
Dzhaparidze said that Chechnya's representation in Tbilisi was not officially registered and was located in an ordinary apartment.
The Georgian official said that "there are no hotbeds of terrorism in Georgia."
Dzhaparidze said that Georgia expects Abkhazia's representation in Russia to be closed.
"We hope that Russia will close certain representations that are highly active in Moscow. I mean the representation of Abkhazia," he said.
Dzhaparidze stressed that Tbilisi does not insist that Moscow close Abkhazia's representation.
