KYIV. Nov 5 (Interfax-AVN) - The training of a Ukrainian peacekeeping contingent that is to be included in the Belgian- Luxembourg-Romanian battalion within KFOR will be completed in the near future, the Defense Ministry press service reported on Tuesday.
The contingent comprises an airmobile regiment and engineering platoon of the 95th separate airmobile brigade subordinate to the Land Forces' Northern operational command.
An official of the press service told Interfax-Military News Agency that in accordance with the training schedule officials of the Belgian Armed Forces would hold the certification of personnel of the contingent before Saturday. The Belgian military will check the readiness of personnel and assess armament, military hardware and materiel of the contingent.
