MOSCOW. Nov 15 (Interfax-AVN) - The experiment to man the 76th airborne division stationed in Pskov with men serving under contracts will be brought to completion no matter what problems may arise, Army General Anatoly Kvashnin, chief-of-staff of the Russian Armed Forces, told the press in Moscow on Friday.
"The experiment will be brought to its logical completion. The worst problems we face are in recruiting. Unfortunately, our state cannot provide the proper financing needed to pay contracted men whose jobs involve risking their lives," he said.
Defense Minister Sergei Ivanov has made a decision on paying the contracted men a monthly bonus of RUB1,200 (USD37.7) for the tensity of service, Kvashnin said.
"As a result, professional servicemen will get RUB4,000 stressed.
