MOSCOW. Nov 18 (Interfax-AVN) - Russia has expressed concern about information coming from North Korea about its rights to have nuclear weapons.
"Moscow is concerned about contradictory information coming from Pyongyang about the 'right' of North Korea to have nuclear weapons," Russian Foreign Ministry spokesman Alexander Yakovenko said in a statement posted on the Foreign Ministry's website on Monday.
"Russia expects the friendly North Korean administration to strictly observe North Korea's obligations under the cornerstone Treaty on the Non-proliferation of Nuclear Weapons, which is a pledge of not only global strategic stability, but also peace and security on the Korean Peninsula," the statement reads.
"Russia also expects other interested parties to be reserved and to continue fulfilling their international obligations to the fullest," Yakovenko said.
