TOULOUSE. Nov 18 (Interfax-AVN) - The Russian Kaskol Group of Companies and the EADS (European Aeronautic Defense and Space) company signed a protocol in Toulouse on Monday to set up an engineering center in Russia for designing units and components for the Airbus fuselage.
The protocol was signed in the presence of Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Kasyanov and his French counterpart Jean-Pierre Raffarin.
The engineering center is expected to employ up to 100 specialists trained in EADS divisions by 2004. They will design units for the firm in accordance with Airbus technical standards. The center will be integrated with the Airbus design and production system.
