TBILISI. Nov 25 (Interfax-AVN) - In the course of Chairman of the U.S. Joint Chiefs of Staff General Richard Myers' visit to Georgia, the U.S. delegation has not asked for permission to use Georgian air strips in a possible operation against Iraq, the Georgian president's press secretary Kakha Imnadze told Interfax- Military News Agency on Monday.
Contrary to media reports, this issue was not raised, he said.
"The United States has not made an official application to Georgia to this effect," Imnadze noted.
