TBILISI. Dec 2 (Interfax-AVN) - Azerbaijani Defense Minister Safar Abiyev will visit Tbilisi in the first half of December, Georgian Deputy Defense Minister Gela Bezhuashvili told Interfax- Military News Agency on Monday.
"The two countries are supposed to sign an agreement on military cooperation that is to reflect dynamically developing contacts," Bezhuashvili said.
Using Turkey's assistance, Azerbaijan launched reforms related to training personnel in military academies earlier than Georgia. "Georgia is interested in the Azerbaijani experience in the sphere," Bezhuashvili noted.
Joint exercises involving Ukraine and Armenia are expected to take place in future, he went on.
The two countries have already held a joint mine-clearance exercise at the Yagludzha proving range in Georgia several years ago. Now it is possible to hold a similar exercise of sappers and military doctors, Bezhuashvili added.
