TBILISI. Dec 3 (Interfax-AVN) - Romanian Defense Minister Ioan Mircea Pascu will arrive in Tbilisi on Tuesday in accordance with a cooperation plan between the defense ministries of the two countries.
The Georgian Defense Ministry press service reported that this is the first foreign trip of the Romanian defense minister after his country was invited to join NATO at the recent summit in Prague.
The Romanian delegation also includes the Armed Forces deputy chief-of-staff, deputy head of the armament department and diplomatic advisor of the defense minister.
During his visit to Georgia Pascu will meet with President Eduard Shevardnadze, Defense Minister David Tevzadze and Foreign Minister Irakly Menagarishvili. He will also travel to the Krtsanisi training center and Georgian Unified Military Academy.
The visit will end on Wednesday.
