Two traffic accidents involving federals take place in Chechnya

GROZNY. Dec 9 (Interfax-AVN) - Two traffic accidents involving federal servicemen have taken place in Chechnya, a source in the Chechen interior department told Interfax-Military News Agency on Monday.

"An APC carrying a group of servicemen crushed into a jitney in Argun. According to preliminary data, a woman riding on the jitney got injuries. An investigation team of the traffic police is working on the crash scene," the source said.

Another traffic accident occurred in the Grozny rural district. "A Zhiguli car turned upside down and its driver, an officer, got minor injuries," the source noted.

Law-enforcement bodies are on high alert in Chechnya. "No emergencies have been registered on the republic's territory," the source added.
