GROZNY. Dec 25 (Interfax-South) - Sayed-Amin Adizov, the chairman of Grozny's office of the Unified Russia Party and head of the Block construction company, was murdered in the Oktyabrsky district of the Chechen capital.
Unidentified gunmen fired upon Adizov's jeep, and he died from numerous gunshot wounds, a source with the Chechen office of the Russian Interior Ministry told Interfax.
The father of the killed party leader, Sayed-Ahmad Adizov, was chairman of the Chechen council of elders under Dzhokhar Dudayev. He was killed by a guerilla in Gudermes in 1995.
This was not the first attack on Unified Russia members in Chechnya. Early on November 28, unidentified gunmen assaulted the house of Musa Zubairayev, the head of the Argun office of the party.
