KHANKALA. Jan 4 (Interfax-AVN) - Chechen militants scaled down their radio exchanges during the first few days of the New Year.
"Radio interception units registered about five radio communication sessions in the past 24 hours, mainly in the Vedeno, Nozhai-Yurt and Shatoi districts," a source in the headquarters of the Combined Federal Forces in the North Caucasus told Interfax.
"Leaders of the bandit groups have become seriously concerned for their safety, and therefore, they are using the radio very infrequently," the source noted.
