TBILISI. Jan 15 (Interfax-AVN) - Georgian State Security Minister Valery Khaburdzania will visit the United States and Japan on January 21-31 to discuss cooperation in combating terrorism.
"In particular, we plan to discuss technical aid to Georgian special services during a meeting with FBI Director Robert Muller," Khaburdzania told reporters on Wednesday.
While visiting Japan, the minister will discuss the protection of the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan oil pipeline.
Khaburdzania also said that several Japanese citizens suspected of involvement in terrorist organizations were detained in Georgia and one of them has already been handed over to the Japanese authorities.
