MOSCOW. Jan 20 (Interfax-AVN) - The parliaments of Russia and the United States may ratify the Treaty on Strategic Offensive Reductions in spring 2003, according to a report issued by the Russian Foreign Ministry on Monday.

The first session of the Russian-American working group of governmental experts on strategic offensive potentials took place in Geneva on January 14-16. The meeting was a prerequisite for the successful ratification of the Treaty, the report says.

"Delegates to the working group informed each other about the arms reductions procedure under the Strategic Offensive Reductions Treaty," the report runs.
