MOSCOW. Jan 27 (Interfax-AVN) - Russian law enforcement departments have no information indicating that Aslan Maskhadov, the leader of the Chechen separatists, has left the country, said Colonel General Konstantin Totsky, director of the Federal Border Guard Service.
"Neither I nor, as far as I know, our secret services have information that Maskhadov has left Chechnya and the territory of Russia," Totsky told Interfax at a news conference in Moscow.
