Over 187 kg of drugs destroyed in Tajikistan

DUSHANBE. Jan 31 (Interfax-AVN) - The Pyandzh border guard unit on Thursday destroyed more than 187 kilograms of drugs seized by Russian border guards on the Tajik-Afghan border on Monday and Wednesday.

The press service of the Russian border force in Tajikistan told Interfax-Military News Agency that a total of 500 kilograms of drugs had been confiscated in January (compared to 120 kilograms in January 2002), including 300 kilograms of heroin (94 kilograms in January 2002).
